But before that, make sure to try out the scenario that gives you messages as you drive, guiding you through your way across the whole route.

The variety of backdrops on offer between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh make for a captivating experience; everything from rolling hills to lake-side scenes, fields of green and tunnels made from trees (above and below).

As a driver in the 1980s, it’ll be your task to remain vigilant as you carefully cross the X swing bridge (above), and stay sharp as your 37-hauled consist eases its way through rock cuttings and forests (below).

More cuttings await for the large logo liveried Class 37, which thrashes its way up the incline (above), meanwhile, a BR lined blue equivalent coasts over a low viaduct, taking it over many of the waterways that line the highland countryside (below).

Sailing alongside Loch Carron, 37025 heads a passenger service bound for Inverness (above), before being seen straddling a rocky stream (below). Passengers travel across this line for the views alone, and the same reason is all too true for driving it in Train Simulator!
