During the Railfan Fest 2021 we made an exciting announcement for Train Sim World 2. Since then we have been working on an exciting project called Spirit of Steam to bring the thunderous power of steam engines to the simulation. Today we're happy to announce that the first steam route for Train Sim World 2 will be Spirit of Steam: Liverpool Lime Street - Crewe

Taking a step back into the twilight years of British steam we invite you to join us in the Northwest of England, the epicentre of British steam railway evolution. What better place for us to start the next evolution of Train Sim World 2. Spirit of Steam: Liverpool Lime Street - Crewe will feature the LMS Stanier Jubilee Class & LMS Stanier Class 8F locomotives.

This weekend during the Festival of Rail we revealed the route, showed the first screenshots and talked about how we're building a classic era British steam route, as well as the journey we have taken on development of our first steam engine locomotives.

A unique driving experience is yours to master as you feel the incredible power of an express steam locomotive at your control.

The Northwest of England was home to plenty of commercial industries and manufacturing. This caused a consistent flow of freight traffic across the region, so large mixed-traffic locomotives such as the Stanier Class 8F were a common sight throughout the age of steam.

A variety of interesting new freight wagons are included with Liverpool Lime Street - Crewe. This Includes the commonly seen Conflat wagons you see above.

Liverpool Lime Street - Crewe introduces the first British Guards van to Train Sim World 2. Emphasising the era we are simulating, and giving you an entirely new way to enjoy freight trains.
