It’s Friday Screens time! The theme for this week - Bridges! Take a look at new screenshots and bridge the gap to launch next week...
The routes in Train Sim World 2 are full to the brim with interesting architecture and structures, each time you drive you will find something new. Whether you are driving over them or passing under, bridges are a predominant feature in many services. Take a closer look at some of the unique bridges featured. On Schnellfahrstrecke once you leave the highspeed mainline and approach Köln Hauptbahnhof you are presented with a wonderful array of bridges and viaducts, each varying and interesting designs as you can see from the screen above.
Sand patch Grade is famous for its heavy and long freight services, these run all day, every day! The Bridges and structures that help the line traverse the difficult landscape of the Allegheny mountains need to be strong and reliable. Ensuring the large amount of heavy traffic that uses the route get through the mountains safely. As you can see from the screens above the bridges that you will encounter across the route are huge truss bridges.
Bridges aren't always constructed to allow railways passage across difficult rural environments, many are installed to allow the railway access to busy town and city centres. Routes are often blocked by roads, rivers, canals, and other railways, complex networks of bridges and viaducts are put in place to negate this. Thanks to the urban backdrop of these bridges, passengers aboard these trains are often rewarded with fantastic city skyline views as you can see above.
Train Sim World 2 is available on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation 4.
