Whether it’s hauling heavy freight on Sand Patch Grade with the CSX AC4400CW, preparing an ICE 3M for departure at Köln Hauptbahnhof or navigating rush hour on the Bakerloo Line with the 1972 Mark 2 - there are incredible experiences waiting for you in Train Sim World 2. We wanted to capture some of these memorable scenes and the iconic locomotives at work with some stand out pieces. Artist Tom Connell was the perfect partner for this.

Tom is an illustrator who specialises in realistic art and has worked with a range of railway companies including Grand Central Railway, LNER, English Welsh & Scottish Railways (EWS) and more. Tom said: "I’m really excited to be working with Dovetail Games by creating realistic illustrations of the new routes for Train Sim World 2. I hope you like them!"

His first piece created for Train Sim World 2 shows the powerful CSX AC4400CW loading coal on Sand Patch Grade, you can see the creation process for this below from line sketch to the stunning finished piece above.
