Meet the Freightliner Class 70
Built for heavy freight work, the Class 70 brings a very different driving experience to Train Sim World 7.
Step inside its distinctive modern cab and get familiar with an interactive driver display, detailed controls and the systems required to get a heavy freight train moving.
The locomotive has been recreated with true-to-life performance, suspension and handling, giving you plenty to manage as you tackle long trains and changing gradients.
There's another challenge waiting beneath the surface too.
The Class 70 features an array of train faults, introducing additional situations to respond to and giving players another reason to learn the locomotive's systems rather than simply opening the throttle and heading down the line.
An accessible Training Center Tutorial will help you get familiar with the locomotive before heading out onto the main line.

A Brand-New Wagon
The locomotive isn't arriving alone.
Included with the Class 70 is the brand-new MLA engineering wagon, finished in striking Wascosa yellow livery.
Different loaded variants are represented, including aggregate and sleeper loads, adding some visual variety to your trains and another new piece of modern British freight rolling stock to your collection.
Whether you're moving engineering materials or heading out with a heavy aggregate working, the combination of the Class 70 and MLA provides a fresh freight experience for Train Sim World 7.
Make the Most of Train Sim World 7
The Class 70 arrives ready to take advantage of a number of the features introduced with Train Sim World 7.

Live Weather
Take your freight workings out in conditions based on the real-world weather for the route you're driving.
With Live Weather, supported Train Sim World 7 routes can use location-specific weather data, while improvements to Dynamic Weather allow conditions to change more naturally throughout your journey.
Whether you're hauling freight through rain, low cloud or brighter conditions, no two runs need to feel quite the same.

Enhanced Lighting
Train Sim World 7's Enhanced Lighting helps bring additional depth and atmosphere to your journeys.
From early morning freight workings to evening runs through busy yards, improved light and shadow can give familiar routes a different feel as the time and weather change.

Epic Graphics
PC players with capable hardware can push things further with Train Sim World 7's Epic graphical settings.
Extended draw distances, improved shadows and increased Level of Detail ranges help you see more of the railway around you, particularly useful when you're looking down the length of a heavy freight train.

Freight Hauler
The Class 70 is also a natural fit for Freight Hauler, Train Sim World 7's free-form freight mode.
Choose what needs moving, plan your own path and put the Class 70's Powerhaul muscle to work without being tied to a traditional timetable.
Freight Hauler is available on Train Sim World 7 core routes and can make use of compatible locomotives from your collection through Free Roam spawning. The Class 70 also layers directly into the Airedale & Wharfedale Network timetable, giving it an especially natural home for Train Sim World 7 freight gameplay.

Two Routes, Eight New Scenarios
The Class 70's main gameplay is spread across West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley and Midland Main Line: Leicester - Nottingham and Derby.
Across the two routes you'll find 8 new Scenarios, with four available on each.
West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley
Take the Class 70 onto the busy West Coast Main Line and mix heavy freight with the passenger traffic of Trent Valley.
The Add-On introduces a new Class 70 timetable layer to the route, giving you more opportunities to put the Powerhaul locomotive to work beyond the included Scenarios.
You'll also receive 4 new Scenarios specifically designed around Class 70 operations.

Midland Main Line: Leicester - Nottingham and Derby
Midland Main Line provides another home for the Class 70 and its freight workings.
Alongside 4 additional Scenarios, the route receives a new version of its timetable, providing more opportunities to experience the railway with the Class 70.
Players with compatible content can make the railway even busier too, with additional layers available from the CrossCountry BR Class 170 and BR Class 220 Voyager, each available separately.
Across its supported UK routes, the Class 70 provides more than 100 driveable services, giving you plenty to get stuck into once you've completed the Scenarios.

Take the Class 70 Across Your Network
West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley and Midland Main Line are the two main homes for the Class 70 Add-On but they aren't the only places you'll be able to put it to work.
The Class 70 is supported across a growing selection of British Train Sim World routes, including:
- Midland Main Line: Leicester - Nottingham and Derby
- West Coast Main Line: Trent Valley
- Airedale & Wharfedale Network: Leeds & Bradford - Skipton & Ilkley
- Mildmay Line Richmond Extension
- Thames Valley Branches
One we're particularly excited about is Airedale & Wharfedale Network in Train Sim World 7.
The timetable has been prepared for the Class 70 from launch, adding two engineering services and a pair of railtour workings once you own the locomotive.
You can also choose the Class 70 as a substitution for almost all of the route's Class 66 services, giving you another way to tackle the aggregate and freight operations across Yorkshire.
Beyond the timetable, Free Roam lets you take the Class 70 onto other compatible routes from your collection and create your own freight journeys.
With support across existing and upcoming routes, the Class 70 has plenty of room to stretch its legs beyond its eight included Scenarios.
