“Headed up by Dan and Kieran, we are a team built on passion, expertise, and a drive to push railway simulation further than ever before. With years of experience in both game development and the railway industry, our expert team has been behind a variety of releases for Train Sim World and Train Simulator Classic, crafting detailed routes, rolling stock, and immersive environments that players have enjoyed for years. Now, we’re bringing that knowledge, skill, and ambition into our own Train Sim World releases, and we couldn’t be more excited to share what’s coming.”
Their first route, WCML Birmingham - Crewe, and loco Add-on, the Avanti West Coast Class 805, were then announced in Dovetail Direct Summer 2025's Take-A-Ticket segment and the August Roadmap.

The Route

Speed was built into the Trent Valley line since its inception back in September 1847. It opened to provide a more direct route from London to the North West of England, completely bypassing Birmingham. It initially ran with limited local passenger and goods trains in the October before opening to all through traffic by early December of that year.
As part of the British Rail modernisation plan, the Trent Valley line was electrified in the 1960s which allowed for high-speed trains to grace the line with their presence. Following further modernisation works in the 2000s, this allowed for the likes of the Pendolino to go full-beans; reaching speeds of up to 125mph.
The Trent Valley line is by far and away the longest point-to-point UK route to appear in a Train Sim World game to date - a whopping 108 miles stretching from Milton Keynes to Crewe. Throw the Evero into the mix and you've got a recipe for an hour-long sprint, tilting and weaving as you go. Speaking of which...

The Rolling Stock

Avanti West Coast BR Class 807 Evero

The latest innovation of the AT300 fleet, the Evero entered into service in October 2024, replacing Avanti West Coast's Class 221 Super Voyager. Powered via 25 kV 50 Hz AC overhead electrification, this 182 metre-long bolt of lightning can hit speeds of up to 125mph. It also includes a regenerative braking system that harvests energy when the brakes are applied, improving efficiency on this high-speed route. Not that you would notice all of this going on outside as the interior boasts spacious and ergonomic seating, enhanced legroom, and noise reduction measures to ensure a quieter journey - like sitting on a very fast cloud.

BR Class 350/4

The Class 350/4 is a high-performance subclass of the Class 350, built for 25 kV AC overhead electrification and designed to handle both regional and intercity work with ease. A regular sight on the West Coast Main Line, the Class 350/4 offers comfortable seating and first-class accommodation for longer journeys. This thing is no slouch either, with a top speed of 110 mph, it’s just as capable stopping at local stations across Warwickshire and Staffordshire as it is stretching its legs and gunning it on faster runs between Stafford and Crewe.

Timetable and Service Layers

Class 220 Voyager, Class 390 Pendolino and many more!

There are 478 total playable services available in timetable mode, but once you factor in AI, you’re looking at 2,301 layers in total. The add-on introduces a range of scenarios such as recovering failed trains and operating in poor weather conditions with realistic dialogue when communicating with the signaller.
All Aboard Studios will share a detailed breakdown of layers and service patterns in their own Dev Diary. But to wet your whistle for what’s to come, here are the add-ons required to add more playable and AI services to the timetable:

323 meets 323! A rather lost Northern Class 323 passes through the lower platforms of Lichfield Trent Valley, the terminus of the Cross-City line, briefly saying hi to a classmate on its way south to Wolverton for refurbishment.
A pair of Sprinters scream through snowy scenes on an ECS move from Barton Under Needwood to Chester, having taken over at Lichfield. Despite giving it all the beans, it's certainly no Pendolino, making for some thrilling overtake action!
Making its way from Leicester LIP, a light engine ROG Class 37 approaches the Trent Valley Line from the Nuneaton Flyover, preparing to join the route for an early morning jaunt towards Crewe.
Scenarios, Collectibles and Mastery Challenges will also be available, as per most Train Sim World route Add-ons.
