Quick note from DTG Alex: "Unfortunately, our creative tools weren't available this month as we ran out of digital ink, so whilst we wait for a new delivery, I had to make our usual Roadmap asset this month using Train Sim World 5's Livery Designer, as it's all I had! Apologies if it's hard to read, my skills aren't that great, but I promise to update this the moment I can!"

Welcome back to the Train Sim World Roadmap! This is the place where you can get a view into our development process, and where we can talk about definitely real, very fun, updates coming soon!

What better way to simulate realism in Train Sim World than simply removing the trains altogether! When everything’s cancelled and chaos is bestowed upon the rails, a new hero enters town; the replacement bus.

In this new mode, passengers will just get on buses between each station, and the routes will be totally empty. Oh, you don’t get to drive the buses, don’t be silly, you’re a train driver, go home or something.

As of today, route collectables are now part of a mandatory progression tree, you cannot drive a train to any station until you have placed all the route maps, prepped all the defibs and restocked the newspapers. Passenger experience is of utmost importance, and we feel it’s only right to enforce this.

To ensure that you have endless fun with this new update to Route Tasks, we'll be randomising where the collectibles spawn when you load in, and we hope this helps get you those extra walking miles need for our latest mastery challenge! (See more below!).

From now on, new add-on routes will have some assembly required, and in our first update to this system, you'll be required to build all the stations yourself.
