Festive Update Out Now
Our festive update for Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour is now available. With this update we have introduced turn resistance that allows the player to influence the direction that the fish is swimming leading to reduced fish fight times. When completing the Dovetail Live Mastery challenges you will now be able to keep track of your progress in game. Head into the Dovetail Live menu and you get the option to look at your Mastery Challenges or check out the latest news. In your Customise menu you can now filter your items when creating a tackle box to make finding specific items easier. Alongside this update we have our Festive Mastery [https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/fishing-sim-world/profile/mastery] challenges in which you can unlock a set of reindeer antlers with a glowing nose. Anyone that missed out on last year’s Christmas clothing will also receive the Santa hat and t-shirt. There is also a new community challenge [https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/fishing-sim-world/profile/overview] in which the community can unlock wintery themed beanie hats. Catch a fish while logged in to Dovetail Live while the challenge is running and once it is completed you will be eligible to unlock the rewards. Full Moon Update Out Now
The Full Moon Update for Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour is out now. With this update comes new equipment, new clothing and new sponsors for Career Mode as well as a load of game improvements. From newly announced partner AFTCO we are adding 5 pieces of clothing with 4 t-shirts and a hoodie. Career sponsor Free Spirit Fishing are having two of their rods added to the game, the 13ft ‘Hi S’ Carp Rod and 10ft Bank Cat S Rod. As you may have seen on our social media pages, there are 4 new sponsor companies in Career Mode. The US Angling Confederation, BassBoat4Sale.com, Great Clips and The CARP Bible have all joined the Pro Tour. Between now and the 5th November you can get into the spooky Halloween spirit with special seasonal items. Log in to Dovetail Live and complete the Halloween Mastery [https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/fishing-sim-world/profile/mastery] challenges to be rewarded with a t-shirt featuring a “wolf” howling at the moon and a pumpkin head hat. In addition to the Halloween Mastery challenge you can unlock the brand new AFTCO clothing through Dovetail Live. Go fishing on a lake and at the end of your session you will be rewarded with the 4 new t-shirts and a hoodie. Community Response Update Out Now
Hi all, Thank you for all your amazing feedback so far since the launch of Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour. Our Community Response Update is our first update since the release of Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour and aims to address some of the most commonly reported issues we have had so far including adding unlimited time back in to multiplayer, fixing the area of Lake Miller with no water and the items from the equipment pack not displaying correctly. Here's the full list of issues that we have fixed with this update: * Unlimited session length added in Multiplayer * Section of Lake Miller with no water * Owned equipment appears at the top of the list in the default sort * Named Trophy fish weight not being tracked under species best weight * Character wearing double hat during when wearing career outfit in other game modes * TP displayed does not decrease when purchasing * Bollies in equipment pack cannot be used in the Throwing Stick or Spod rod * End of Career Mode event - Player profile image not displaying on screen * Event Calendar end of season - UI prompts missing from multiple screens * DFL series leaderboards were showing global scores * Lake Dylan offline bass tournament - The offline tournaments based at Lake Dylan "Minnesota Mega Bass" all appear to take the player into a free flying camera option and do not display the opening cinematic, causing player to restart the game * Career mode event, restart round - Pressing restart button after already restarting the round appears to keep reloading the title card, can cause cut scene to break and prevent gameplay * Various crash fixes

Muskie and Gar Update Out Now
The eighth update for Fishing Sim World is now available to download on PC, PlayStation and Xbox One! The highlight of this update is the introduction of three new species of fish – the muskie, tiger muskie and longnose gar. Full notes are as follows; * Introduction of muskie, tiger muskie and longnose gar into the appropriate lakes * Game localised into Chinese * Fixed boat being unable to turn when not moving due to colliding against an object in multiplayer * Other minor multiplayer fixes * Localisation bug fixes * Improved boat audio * Updated Gigantica Main Lake select screen to ensure species list includes Bream and Tench * Fixed the image in customisation for Fitzgerald Stunner rod as was displaying the Vursa rod * Updated the species list in Grand Union canal to include roach * Improved lake selection image for Gigantica * Fixed cast bar in basic casting mode still showing when cast has been reset * Fixed game occasionally crashing when scrolling through items in the shop quickly * Boat now glides to a stop when switching to fishing during use of the trolling motor * Improved bass swimming animation in anglers log We are also working very hard on our next update which is another significant one for all players. January Update out now for Fishing Sim World
Our next update for Fishing Sim World, ‘The January Update’ is now available across all platforms. Full notes are below; * Reduced the duration at the start and end of reeling to make it feel more responsive * When loading into a lake the map won't be blurry anymore for the first couple seconds * Players will now have one, 1 hour attempt for lakes they don't own in live events * Added in sounds for boat collision * Increased the variables in AI anglers scores based on their skill level so AI positions in leaderboards are more random * Localised text improvements * Added ability to delete a tackle box when editing your own ones * Fixed line physics when casting long distances * Fixed issue where lure would still create splashes on the surface even when a fish is on it * Fixed issue where fish won't be netted if using a long rod by increasing the netting distance * Fixed clothing customisation not correctly applied in the shop The update following on from ‘The January Update’ is well underway and current highlights for this are as follows; * Added mechanism to allow fish to leap. Bass behaviour is set up so that it can now leap out of water. Bass diving behaviour has now been rebalanced to work with leaping. * Improved line tension behaviour when fighting bass * Improved collision issues with boats in particular being able to steer the boat when applying throttle when stuck * Boat glides to a stop when turning rather than immediately stopping when switching from trolling to fishing * Fixed characters being able to enter a boat when fishing from a jetty * Ensured the sound of striking into a fish is heard correctly when bass fishing * Improved ambient audio * Ensured you cannot interact with other people’s line on a boat in multiplayer * Localisation improvements

Fishing With Friends Update Out Now
The latest update for Fishing Sim World, titled ‘Fishing with Friends’ is now available across all platforms. This update focuses primarily on multiplayer fixes and full notes are below; * Ensured all achievements for Jezioro Bestii are being awarded correctly * Fix for camera spinning wildly if the client becomes out of synch from the host * Fix for animations going out of synch when accessing menus while bass fishing. Players can now reset the player by going back to boat driving mode and back again to clear the issue if it occurs * General stability improvements * Fixed streaming issue for clients that can cause a crash * Added texture optimisation to stop MP crash for Clients * Fixed issue where fish would take longer to net on multiplayer client than host or single player. * Text in catch screen will now resize correctly if it doesn't fit (applies to single player as well) * Fixed issue where camera would stutter on multiplayer client. * Fixed issue with player name not appearing when starting the game for the very first time. * Stopped "ROD SELECTION" button prompt from showing when the claimed peg is NOT a boat peg (applies to single player as well) * Fixed issue with "Reset cast" not working if pressed right before the bait hits the water (applies to single player as well) * Always show 4 entries in multiplayer if you're last on the leaderboard. * Single player - Stopped level name reverting once you reach "Prestige" level * Single player - Stopped the skipping of level 100 once you reach level 99 at max prestige We are already working on the following update that follows Fishing with Friends. The Bass Fighting Update is out now
The latest update for Fishing Sim World is now available across all platforms. Highlights of this update include improved bass fighting with the bass diving deeper during the fight (and the controller vibrating appropriately) meaning that line tension will increase and you will need to react and adjust the drag accordingly - rod position, drag setting, line choice and hook set quality are now more important than ever! Also featured is a second fish finder at the front of your boat to be used in conjunction with the trolling motor. Full update notes are below; * Improved bass fighting – when the bass dives deeper when hooked, line tension will increase and you need to respond accordingly * Second fish finder at front of the boat to be used in conjunction with trolling motor * Vibration added during the fish fight * Adding a sliding scale of vibration through the controller rather than simply on or off * Improved the targeting of fish species by improving how different species of fish react to different types of lures and baits * Improved water splash effects when using a top water lure * Added collision between the character and fishing line * Ensured that fish in Gigantica can be caught around the margins of the lake * Increased the number of catfish in Waldsee * Reduced the frequency of bites on Manor Farm Lake * Added catfish as an eligible species to score points in predator tournament on Manor Farm Lake * Improved camera angles when reeling in and using the trolling motor * Added player level names as well as level numbers * Fixed line getting stuck in the boat when casting out * Improved collision on Lake Boulder and Lake Williams * Fixed ‘Switch casting method’ prompt appearing after teleporting to different area of lake whilst in casting state * Made trolling motor UI visible in ‘partial HUD’ setting option * Various localisation fixes * Various clothing appearance issues fixed * Various audio improvements The next update for Fishing Sim World will be available soon after the Bass Fighting Update. Trolling Motor Update Out Now!
Our latest update for Fishing Sim World is now available across all platforms. This is another significant release with the highlight being a fully functioning trolling motor on all boats for you to use. Other key improvements include a new species of fish, the zander being added to the Grand Union Canal with two trophy zander being able to be caught from this venue. Also, there are 3 new, bigger trophy catfish to be able to be caught from Waldsee. Finally, resistance to the movement of the rod has been added whilst playing a fish. The tighter the line tension, the slower you will be able to raise the rod in the fight giving feedback as to the weight of the fish you are playing. Monster Reward Update Out Now
We’ve been working away on all the feedback, bugs, thoughts and comments that you’ve made on our forums or through social media and reviews. Many thanks to everyone who has helped us! The first update for Fishing Sim World will launch this Thursday the 18th October on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Let’s go through the highlights step by step. New Fish Species! For all players, two new species of fish will be added in this update: Walleye and Bluegill. Perfect for the vast open lakes of bass fishing, these will be available to catch and fully represented in the Anglers Log. Bug Fixes! This is a long list of the majority of the detailed fixes. There are changes, fixes and improvements across almost every area of the sim. Achievements * All achievements are now available and unlock correctly Audio * All sub menus now available in the audio tab of the options menu * You can now no longer hear boats starting up wherever you are on the lake Controls Enhanced settings * You can now invert camera (Y Axis) * You can now alter mouse sensitivity and controller vibration options HUD & Menus Immersion Mode * You can now turn off the HUD entirely while fishing * You can turn off other players names in Multiplayer in reduced HUD * Depth widget has been removed from ‘minimal’ and ‘no hud’ modes * You can toggle off the UI during catch shot screens * New tension audio added when reeling in fish, that corresponds to the weight of the fish * Minimal HUD mode also now available * Various minor localisation bugs fixed * Bits of the HUD no longer show during loading screen * Correct list of species of fish available to catch for each venue * Lake description now correct in Freedom Fishing for Bergsee * Setting screen now saves correctly * Fixed rough edges in customisation screens * Fixed boat clipping the UI in the customisation screens * Improved tool tip images Fish & Fish Behaviour Fish and Fish Fighting Improvements * Smallmouth bass swim differently to largemouth to differentiate fight between species * Bass have more energy and the fights last longer * It is now more difficult to catch fish in Gigantica * Fish now swim away when escaping rather than disappearing * Catfish can now be caught when using lures * Fish no longer get stuck on water debris in Grand Union Canal * Fixed fish ‘bouncing’ on water surface when they have given up fighting * Added Pike to species list in Bergsee * Fish can no longer escape between being caught and the catch shot! * Fish can no longer swim on land next to the canal inlet in Grand Union Canal * Fixed catfish occasionally appearing black * The yellow perch appearance has been improved Equipment Improvements * Boats require less build up and button pressure to drive at speed * Added nightglow sweetcorn into the tackle shop * Lures now sink faster or slower as appropriate for the lure * Fish attraction to lures has been improved, depending on the size of both the lure and the fish * Correct asset and description now shown for Sunline Siglon PE 30lb and Vursa Braid Spinning 20lb * Fixed controller vibrating when reel speed changed but not reeling in * Improved collision with shoreline while on a boat * Improved clothing appearances, fixing clipping issues * Yellow maggot now has the correct colour image within the tackle shop * Rotating reels sit on top of rods with line attacher and line will no longer appear to float Characters * Characters no longer get stuck in terrain if turning on the spot * Characters hands no longer look detached if wearing a hoodie in a catch shot * Characters no longer get stuck in path debris on the Grand Union Canal * Character polish improvements * Added smile to characters when holding fish! As a main reward, anyone who has registered and logged into Dovetail Live within Fishing Sim World will receive two pieces of free equipment. To receive these two items, sign into Dovetail Live and go to the Online menu option. The items will unlock for you. 1. The Haichou Odyssey Live is a high performance 50MPH addition to your boat fleet, superior to the immediately available starter boats. 2. A new t-shirt with a classic blue digital camo design that you can find unlocked in the customise menu. You can now also read Dovetail Live articles directly in-game! Tournament Clothing Rewards Starting in November, winning and placing highly in our tournaments now bring you prizes in the form of clothing. Wear them with pride and let everyone in multiplayer know what they’re up against. Winners of weekly events will be awarded a ‘Champion’ t-shirt whilst 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded a ‘podium’ t-shirt. If you finish in the top 5% of all entries, you will earn a ‘series’ t-shirt. The same rewards are in place for the end of each season but hoodies as well as t-shirts are your prize.
